Life at IMT
PHEW!!!!
FINALLY i got some time to write something
I AM BEING RAGGED!!!
After working for 2 yrs i am being ragged !!!!!
God they dnt let us sleep!!! for the first 8 days i just got 1 hr sleep everyday!!!!
and i am used to sleepin for minimum of 10 hrs :(
and the seniors here tell me pretty much nobody sleeps here more than 4 -5 hrs a day!!
gosh that is goin to take some gettin used to..
the ragging itself is not very harryin just the sleep deprivation is driving me crazy!!
so due to that i am most of the time sleepy and weepy amd screamy which leads to a lil bit of more ragging!! :(
i havent read anybdys blog yet .. which i will start doin as soon as i get some time and my lappy ..
i still hav to get the student loan so its goin to b smtime before i get my lappy..
the ragging is pretty much boring coz all they do is ask us to introduce ourselves,sing or dance or perform skits.. and they keep screaming at us all the time and they dnt let us sleep!!
they r sadists abt the sleep thing i tell u!!
all of us keep dozing of in class he he he :)
i am being a back bencher for a change !!
its fun but i got screaming frm 1 teacher already fr talkin too much in his class he he :D
i am tryin out for the Placement committee of our college which is like the most prestigious committee here .. i hope i get thru!!
but the upside of not gettinh thru is that i'll hav lots of time to chill out and relax coz this committee gives us like tons of work!!!
BTW i was branded by the seniors as a girl with an attitude problem.. i think that scene is improving now!!
i am being properly deferential to them on their faces all the while muttering curses under my breath he he ;)

Hey I'm first to comment this time... Am I too early, or everyone else have run away...
I guess you haven't read comments... What is your specialization in IB...??? It is not ragging, it is induction...
Placement committee selection will be good... And yes you'll not have free time... But you'll improve your communication skills to a great extent, also you'll expand your business network (because you'll be talking to companies). And you'll exempted from many hectic schedules...
But I hope you don't end up making enemies at the end of 2 years (ask your seniors if your placement committee is free from politics, which I doubt)... Otherwise by the end of your MBA none of your friends will like to see your face... but that is only if placement committees try to grab power & induce politics... Also your academic learning will suffer, unless you want placement only rather than learning...

girl with attitude problem eh?me likes....it is ppl with attitude problems who go on to lead....(and ofcourse then fuck it up...lol)

ragging in b-school, for a masters program.....first place i have heard it......
well i am in the placement committee here at iit.....its a lot of work....but u will feel satisfied at the end of it all..when ppl get placed and you know that u played a small part in it!!!
hmmmm..... i now feel seriously... i should have been knocking your hostel room door early on sats and sundays... you wud be used to less hrs of sleep atleast.... :-)
misssing you akanksha.... do well for these 2 yrs honey.... you will climb your career ladder faster.....

kool .. i rem. ragging days were my worst days, coz at that time college looked like a hell, may b coz seniors were not gud enuff, they used to rag just to tease and scare other person, not to enjoy like we used to do it.

And yea .. I miss ya ;)
and that miss thing will cost u a party ( i guess ye bolne wali baat nahi hai :p )
sleep deprivation is not Ragging...neways isn't a change after working for 2 years... he he .... Happy sleeping!

Lack of sleep may also result in
1) blurred vision- dont mug the beautiful pair you have
2)slurred speech- ki ki ki kiran
3)memory lapses- im sure imt is not the right place!
4)overall confusion- that you are anyway :P
5)hallucinations- this would be creepy, for you and others as well
6)decreased sex drive- hell no!!
7)psychosis- tell me who is not psychotic!?
8)and eventually death- who cares!
now decide!?

this guy has scared me by saying there is ragging in IMT.now i am thinking of whether not to apply to IMT at all.
